ICO has succeeded in building a fully-fledged battery charging area in less than 6 weeks at the Bastenaken terminal in Zeebrugge.11000 volts is transported underground to 3 high-voltage cabins at the level of the charging area. There are 2 transformers of 630 KVA in each cabin. This 3780 KVA provides sufficient capacity to simultaneously provide 304 battery chargers with 11 KWH each and 2 superchargers of 135 KWH each. This means that at the same time 304 cars can be loaded at a normal charging speed and 4 cars at a speed of 100% in 75 minutes. The charging area is now operational and works perfectly. The chargers are equipped with intelligent software and (mobile) communication so that the control and recording of used power can be done remotely. The intention is to link it to the ICO TOS system.
