Four sustainable projects from Antwerp and Zeebrugge still have a chance to win the Sustainable Port Award.
On 5 May 2023, Port of Antwerp-Bruges, Maatschappij Linkerscheldeoever, Alfaport Voka and Apzi-Voka will present the Sustainable Port Award. This award recognizes a sustainable initiative in the port area. The port of Antwerp and Zeebrugge is the economic engine of Flanders. That is why it focuses on sustainable growth, in which the economy, climate and people are central. To reinforce this ambition and to put the initiatives of the many port companies in the spotlight, the port presents the Sustainable Port Award, formerly known as the Sustainability Award, every two years. The finalists were announced on 15 February during a press presentation in the Port House in Antwerp. The nominees are: Victrol (Antwerp), TotalEnergies (Antwerp), ICO (Zeebrugge) and Boluda Towage (Zeebrugge & Antwerp).
